Mission Calls and A Sunday Spotlight!

With great joy we announce that our second son Christopher has been called to the

Mexico Guadalajara East Mission!!!!!!!!!!

That's right... another son off to Mexico! We just couldn't be more thrilled for him to have this opportunity to serve the Lord with the GREAT people of Mexico!

A few days before he received his letter, Barry said to me " I feel we will have some connection to he place he will serve".... and a connection we do! Tyler is SO excited for him and will be such a help getting him ready to go there. Barry travels to Monterrey every month, and of course we lived there 11 years ago... so yes indeed, we have a special connection and a GREAT love for this country.

I emailed President and Sister Hansen that day and told them and told them who is mission president will be and Sister Hansen spoke so highly of Sister Jesperson and said that my son will be very loved there.... I bet she learned from Sister Hansen how to be like that! :)

This is President and Sister Jesperson(blond) with their two teenage sons. Sister Hansen also said she is beautiful and Sister Hansen is correct!

He reports on January 26, 2011 and he is ready to Go!

And what made it even better is his cousin Zach received his call the day before and he is going to serve in Tulsa Oklahoma and speak the language of Hmong! One of my seminary students last year speaks 5 languages and Hmong is one of them... It blew me away when I asked her to speak it for me one day!

We are SO excited for all the experiences that Zach will have and the love he will feel from these humble, loving people...the picture below says it all, Zach is truly a "Strippling Warrior"


Expect some GREAT things from these two missionaries! There will be many more updates and lots to blog about!

Our Sunday Spotlight this week is ... Eli Baughan!

Eli is the second son of my brother Chris and his wife Christi. He had a big birthday this week, he turned 12!

Eli is a SMART, SWEET young man who loves basketball, video games and when I am there he loves to play basketball on the trampoline.

He is a great brother to his brother and sister, and Cameron loves to hang out with Eli.

We LOVE you Eli!
